Past Spartans of the Week

#74 Michael Stead
In one of the biggest games for Skyline this year Michael Stead made his statement on the field against Bothell. Michael was all over the field creating havoc on both sides of the ball. Above is a picture of Michael making a sack on the Bothell Quarterback. Michael has been the steady rock on our offensive and defensive lines all year. Congratulations Michael. This was a huge win for us and you played a major roll. You gave us great excitement watching you play.
Go Spartans!!!

#3 Kasen Williams
In his third season of Spartan varsity football, #3 Junior Kasen Williams has continued to show why he is dangerous on both sides of the ball. Against the Curtis Vikings, he pulled in 2 more touchdowns in the first half to bring his total to 17. He's well over 1,000 yards receiving and has rushing yards to boot. On defense, he has more than 18 tackles and is usually found in the vacinity of every play. Don't let that shy exterior fool you - he's a player to be reckoned with. Congratulations, Kasen!
Go Spartans!!!

#9 Jake Heaps
This weeks game vs South Kitsap showed what it's like when Spartans focus and play their kind of football. At the helm - setting the rhythm and pace - was Senior Captain/QB #9 Jake Heaps. He's led things for three seasons - but managed another record setting performance - 7 touchdowns in one game - actually in half a game - bringing his total this year to 36 passing touchdowns and 7 rushing. He is the versatile weapon that D1 programs recognized early on. We know he's got a few more Skyline games in his system. Congratulations, Jake - let's do it again this week!.
Go Spartans!!!

#5 Nick Beauchamp
Although the rain didn't stop during last week's match up, neither did the choice for this weeks Fan Player, #5 Senior Nick Beauchamp. Like a bolt of lightening, he moves fast down the field - and it doesn't matter which side of the ball he's on. He's scored 5 TD's so far as well as carried the ball 27 times for 204 yards, caught 8 passes for 60 yards, had 8 tackles and returned the ball on both punts/kickoffs 15 times. Keep up the good work, Nick, there is still more football to play. Congratulations!

#11 Cooper Pelluer
During every game this season, Senior/Captain #11 Cooper Pelluer has been a force. But in last weeks game vs Bothell, the fans decided he was the standout player. As a tight end, he had 2 receptions for 32 yards - both resulting in touchdowns. As defensive end, he added 5 tackles to his stats - putting him 2nd in team tackles and sacks. We've watched you for along time, Coop, now it's time to say CONGRATULATIONS as this weeks Spartan player!

Keep up the good work, Dono, your fans appreciate your hard work. Congratulations!

#32 Nick Washburn
When it rains hard, you need a running game, and thanks to the extra efforts of Senior Nick Washburn we had one! Rushing 18 times for 181 yards (and a 25 yard reception), the family tradition carried on. Fast on his feet to find every hole, the opponents needed alot of guys to take #32 down. The fans always enjoy watching you run down the field Nick. Congratulations!
