Since 1998, Skyline Spartan Football has been participating in competitive, contact team camps where athletes spend four full days working together to get ready for the upcoming season. Camps are held at many different colleges all over Washington.

Players and coaches stay overnight in the dorms and along with on-the-field activities, there are other benefits to participating in the building of team spirit and unity. Whether a player is a starter or on scout team, it is an activity that is recommended for involvement.

Common questions from parents about team camp

Items to bring:  All issued football equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, pants, girdle, knee & thigh pads and jersey)    Cleats, mouthguard, sun screen, water bottle,  t-shirts, shorts, socks, tennis shoes, athletic/sweatpants, spending $$$ (limited amount-they can order food in)   Dorm Room:  Sleeping bag, pillow, alarm clock, fan, toiletries   and yes, rumors are true, they do bring other things for their dorm rooms.

Transportation: All athletes are responsible for their own transportation to/from the camp.  Parking fees are NOT included in the camp registration fee, so carpooling is strongly encouraged, as there will be hundreds of athletes from all over participating.  For upperclassmen driving themselves, keys are collected by coaches upon arrival.

Arrival/Check-in Time:  Check-in time on the first day of camp varies each year.  Parents of participants will be notified through email.  Please be prompt and give yourself plenty of driving time.  Traffic levels can be busy even on the weekends.

Spectators:  Yes!  Families are welcome to watch on the last day of the camp when scrimmages will be done in the morning.

Check-Out: Camp will end right after the scrimmages finish. Skyline coaches/players will meet immediately after; yes parents are welcome to hear what is said about the week.  When this ends, athletes will head back to their dorms, where they will pack-up, clean up, return their keys and then can leave.  NOTE:  There are fees assessed to parents above the camp fee for lost keys, room damage or rooms left uncleaned.

Roommates:  Skyline's head coach determines roommates.  Athletes line up alphabetically for registration to get their keys - rooms are in a pod configuration.  Medical related considerations should be disclosed during the registration process, not after room assignments have been made.  Confidentiality and discretion will be used.

Medications: All medication is the responsibility of the athlete and must be in its original packaging and labeled with the athlete‚Äôs name.  There are no trainers or doctors from Skyline participating in this camp.  All first aid/medical attention is performed by camp administration.
